Professional experience:
Aizhan Mukhammad has over 15 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. In 2011, Aizhan received the status of a Patent Attorney of the Republic of Kazakhstan and for many years was an Advisor and Head of the Intellectual Property Department in an international law firm. In 2019, Aizhan headed the Kazakhstan office of an international IP firm. For more than 10 years, Aizhan has been advising domestic and multinational corporations, worked as a seconded lawyer, as well as a virtual lawyer for international companies. He has extensive experience in providing legal services and overseeing the day-to-day legal issues of companies from the FMCG sector, industrial, pharmaceutical and trade organizations. Aizhan is currently the founder of ProIPlaw, a law firm for intellectual property.
Aizhan is also the author of lectures on the course Intellectual Property Law for the Open University of Kazakhstan (OpenU) project, based on the book Intellectual Property Law (L. Bently, B, Sherman, D. Gangjee and P. Johnson) edited by Oxford University Press, arbitrator of the First Economic Arbitration and a member of the Kazakhstan Bar Association Chamber of Legal Advisers.
